For over 30 years, we have been working for and with NEC. In particular, our work for the business area “Display Solutions” has stood for exceptional and successful trade fair communications.
The area represents a very unique situation within the fair environment. Because for “Display Solutions”, the product they are exhibiting is actually a supporting medium for other exhibitors: Monitors and projectors together with the accompanying solution portfolio.
NEC Display Solutions follows a clear marketing strategy. Its exhibits at fairs are very important. In addition to smaller specialist trade fairs, the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) in Amsterdam is the most important event of the year for NEC Display Solutions.
Now that ISE has become the largest and the world’s most important digital sinage fair, the demands on stand design and construction have become that much more critical. After all, companies want their image accurately shown to the market.
NEC Display Solutions stands for premium quality in the area of monitors and projectors for the most diverse range of usage areas. Based upon the conceptual series “Discover Bright Places”, we created the concept “NEC City” together with the architecture office GTP2 we hired for the job.
In the previous year, a shopping mall was evoked to showcase the diverse possibilities for utilising NEC products. In 2015, we took an entire city as the stage for product applications and benefits.
You can encounter NEC products everywhere: when shopping, going to work, sitting at a café, in a gallery, in photography and television studios, meeting rooms and control rooms, even at complex locations like train stations and airports.
We had to translate this huge range of locations into our fair stand concept. We developed shopping, on the move, eat & drink, gallery, studio, learn & work, and control room locations, in which the NEC Digital Solutions could be seen within realistic and familiar scenes.
The architecture and stand concept were only part of the services HAKUHODO was responsible for. Perfect construction of the plans within a tight schedule is also extremely important within the fair business.
We were able to deliver successfully thanks to our years of experience in the fair business and our strong collaboration with architects, fair construction companies and the event organisers of fairs throughout Europe.
That was the feedback from the marketing department at NEC Display Solutions. In addition to hugely positive response from visitors, a record number of leads were generated at the fair. And the opinon of the trade press was unanimous:
“At the NEC stand you can see: ‘urban’ is a perfect fit for the company. The stand used the ‘City’ as its overarching theme to bring various scenes to life in close detail.
